Postgraduate support

We understand that postgraduate life can be difficult and stressful at times. We work closely with the Student Guild and Griffith University to provide services and support. Whether you’re in need of legal advice, help with your assignments, advocacy or assistance with navigating university policies – we have you covered.

Advocacy & appeals

Academic issues or other difficulties can arise during postgraduate studies. Want to review a grade? Not sure about your IP rights while doing a PhD? Just need someone who will listen? We can help.

Assignment help

Free assignment help services are available to postgraduate coursework students. Book an appointment to get help with proofreading, referencing, basic research techniques and assistance planning out an assignment.

Legal services

Need assistance with family law, personal injuries, wills and estates, or migration law? The Student Guild offers free legal services through the partnership with McInnes Wilson Lawyers to current GUGC students.

Equity

GCAP believes that it is in the University’s best interest to support and actively encourage members from traditionally marginalised and disadvantaged groups to engage with all aspects of the University. GCAP is dedicated to Equity. We aim to make all our events and parties inclusive and available for all GCAP Members. Additionally, our funding program is open to all members and students are encouraged to apply.

Most importantly, GCAP is re-structuring itself to be representative of the community we serve. Our Director of Equity is responsible for ensuring there is representation for all equity groups within GCAP, if you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out at equity@gcap.org.au.
