Unigames is your opportunity to represent Griffith University and compete against other student athletes in a national multi-sport event. It is jam packed with sport during the day and a nightly party program for all participants. Not only will you have an amazing week, you will also make lifelong friends with your teammates, as well as your competitors.
The Games have built up a reputation as a not to be missed event attracting over 7,000 participants each year.

GUGC Sport (Gold Coast) and Griffith Sport (Brisbane) clubs generally coordinate the teams and trials for Unigames. It’s a good starting point to contact the relevant club. If you are a Gold Coast student use the contact details above. For Brisbane C
If you’re not a member of a club, that’s ok! You can still attend the trials. Some sports however don’t have a club on campus and you will need to contact our Sports Officer instead. We will keep continue to update this page as trial dates and information become available – keep checking!
Can’t attend trials?
If you are unable to attend trials and wish to be considered, please complete this form by Monday 31 July. Please note trials are compulsory unless you have a valid reason or medical certificate.
You will be representing Griffith University on and off the field for the duration of the Games and therefore must abide by the terms and conditions of the GUGC Athlete’s Agreement You will be prompted to accept these terms and conditions during the registration process below.
Once you have attended trials, have been selected for a team and have received your team code you are ready to register. If your sport didn’t have trials, you have already contacted our Sports Officer and received your team code, then you are also good to go.
Didn’t make the sport you were hoping for? Don’t worry, we have plenty of spots available – why not try a different sport? Contact our Sports Officer for more information.
Coaches, managers and other non-competing team officials will also need to follow the steps below.
This is a refundable $100 fee applicable to all athletes and non-competing officials. Provided you adhere to the terms and conditions of your GUGC Sport Code of Conduct, you will be reimbursed for this fee post Games. Learn more about the good behaviour bond in the FAQs section below.

Visit australianunigames.com.au and submit your details along with the registration fee of $180 per person + $9 service fee. Fees apply for late registrations. Non-competing officials are required to pay a registration fee of $30 per person + $5 service fee. We highly recommend you also purchase a Transport Pass for $55 and Opening Ceremony Ticket for TBC.
We have two packages available for athletes and non-competing officials. It is compulsory to select one package and register with GUGC Sport:
1. Athlete & non-competing official registration
with accommodation – TBC
(another $100 to be paid by Friday 15 September, 2017)
2. Athlete & non-competing official registration
no accommodation – TBC
This only applies to participants who selected the “Athletic & non-competing official registration with accommodation” option above.
* If you choose not to select the package including accommodation provided by Griffith it is your responsibility to secure alternative accommodation. You will not be permitted to visit the Griffith arranged accommodation venue/s after 6pm each day.
All athletes are required to purchase a GUGC Sport or Griffith Sport representative uniform bottoms for the Games. If you are a member of a GUGC Sport club and already have a uniform for local competition, you may not have to purchase an additional uniform. Contact your relevant club for more information.
Most uniforms can be ordered via the GUGC Sport or Griffith Sport online store (see below for list of items you will need for your sport) by Friday 8 September at the very latest.
