Aquatic Centre Pool Closure
As of Friday 17 March, the 50m pool at the Aquatic Centre (G45) will close for refurbishment. As the scale of the project is significant, we are uncertain of when the pool will re-open, but expect this to be in winter of this year.
HIIT Studio access remains unaffected, with operating hours and group classes proceeding as normal.

Unfortunately, anyone who currently holds a Gym+ membership will be unable to access the pool during the closure. This will not affect anyone who has an expired membership. All current Gym+ members will be eligible for a refund or rate change, as outlined below.
All direct debit Gym+ memberships will automatically revert to the Gym Only rate for the equivalent membership purchased. This will take effect from March 18. Members will have the option to re-join the Gym+ membership when the pool re-opens. Please note, you will still be able to access the HIIT studio during this time as this work only impacts the pool.
All current Gym+ members who purchased a membership upfront will be eligible for a refund equal to the difference between Gym Only and Gym+ for the equivalent membership period, calculated on a pro-rata basis. If this is you, please see the team at Uni Fitness reception from Monday 20 March between the hours of 9.00 am and 2.00 pm to discuss your refund.
Fitness passport members may still access the HIIT Studio and G07 facility but will be unable to access the pool during this time.
With all memberships reverting to the same rate, we are pleased to announce that ALL members, will have access to the HIIT Studio and Athletics Track from March 20 until the pool re-opens. We are also working on a new group fitness timetable for the HIIT studio, adding some new and exciting classes for everyone to attend.
We will announce the new timetable in the coming days and hope to see everyone there! When the pool re-opens, members will have the option of re-joining on the Gym+ membership if they would like to continue accessing the Aquatic Centre and HIIT Studio.
