  1. Create a profile
    Download the Vygo mobile app, or visit the Vygo website create a profile and enter your payment details.
  2. Find a tutor
    Once your profile is complete, select your preferred course from the course specific list to get started. Search for tutors by price, rating and availability. Once you’ve found a potential tutor, message them for more info or request a session.
  3. Book a session
    Tutoring sessions can take place either online or in-person. Once a session is complete, the app will automatically transfer payment from your card to the tutor.

Vygo requires that students achieve a minimum of 70% in a subject before they are permitted to tutor. If you are interested in becoming a tutor, click here.

No. Vygo provides a free app for both tutors and students. Tutors are paid 100% of whatever rate they charge.

The tutor records the session duration after their session by clicking the ‘Complete Session’ button. If the session is $5 over the estimated booked session, it will be sent to the Vygo Support team for manual verification.

The Vygo app tracks sessions in 5 minute intervals and will pay the tutor accordingly. For example, if a tutor charges $20 an hour and your session went for 1.5 hours, you will be charged $30. Similarly, if your session went for 30 minutes, you would only be charged $10.

All payment is done through the app and occurs automatically once a session has been completed. The Vygo payment system works in a similar way to that of Uber. No money is physically exchanged between the student and tutor.

Once a tutoring session has been completed, funds will be transferred from your account to the tutor within 1 business day.

No. For the safety of both the tutor and student, all session are required to be held in a public space or online.

Yes! All user types are available in one account. A user can be a student, a tutor or both by selecting this option when joining the course-specific tutoring program. 

Don’t worry you won’t be charged extra! Once the session has been completed, the tutor records the session duration by clicking the ‘Complete Session’ button. If the session is $5 over the estimated scheduled time, the data will be sent to the Vygo Support Team for manual verification.
