Represent Griffith

Nationals is the peak intervarsity competition for many sports. At Nationals, Griffith University combines athletes from the Gold Coast and Brisbane campuses to compete against over 40 rival universities from around Australia.

Unfortunately due to Covid-19 the 2020 Nationals program being delivered as one major multi-sport event in Perth in September, has been cancelled or postponed.  There are prospects of standalone competitions at various locations around Australia to be delivered in 2020 including surfing and 3×3 basketball.

Online Competitions have also been put in place by Unisport Australia including an Online Cycle Series, Virtual Distance Running Championships (Gold Coast Marathon), Esports Championships and potential for more to come.

Pick your sport, fill out the interest form below or contact our Sports Officer to learn more about registration and trials. If you’re looking for more opportunities to represent Griffith, in particular Griffith University Gold Coast, head to the Uni Comps page.

Griffith Team Leaders

Each sport that competes at the 2020 Nationals (Div 1 and Div 2) is required to have a Griffith Team Leader (GTL) to assist in coordination and management of their team. In most cases, a Brisbane and Gold Coast GTL will be appointed to each sport. Click here to learn more.
