Group fitness classes are a great way to spice up your traditional gym routine. We offer a wide variety of classes run by qualified instructors so you’ll never get bored. Our classes are designed for all levels of fitness – from beginner to advanced.
As part of your membership, you not only get access to Uni Fitness classes and facilities, you also have access to the brand new Griffith Aquatic Centre. The Aquatic Centre features a 50m pool and our very own HIIT Studio.
Earlier this year, Conrad Gargett was honoured with the 2018 Queensland Architecture Awards – Building of the Year (Gold Coast region) accolade for the design and delivery of the Griffith Aquatic Centre and fitness facility. To read more click here.

A yoga, Tai Chi and pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength, leaving you feeling centred and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves & poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony & balance.

Learn the basic techniques of boxing while focusing on your fitness and speed. Hook, jab and uppercut through a range of circuit style stations.
Based on cutting-edge scientific research, CXWORX is the ultimate way to get a tight and toned core. With dynamic training that hones in on your abs, glutes, back, obliques, and ‘slings’ connecting the upper and lower body. CXWORX will leave you looking good and feeling strong.
Medium to high intensity.
The ultimate indoor cycling experience. From the beginner to the advanced, Cycle will help you burn some serious calories and increase your strength and stamina. Your instructor will take you to your limits and beyond.
A creative mixture of dance routines, fun-filled & lightheaded, inexperienced or experienced can enjoy the cardio based combination of your favourite genres.
Deep water running works out every major muscle group, to tone up and build stamina. It can burn as many calories as cross-country skiing making it ideal for anyone looking to burn a significant number of calories in one training session.
Attend a GRIT class and prepare yourself for one of the following training styles from the GRIT series.
GRIT Cardio: A high intensity interval training workout that features explosive high impact movements designed to burn fat and improve athletic capability.
GRIT Plyo: An intense plyometric-based workout that gets results fast! Combining the principles of plyometrics and power agility training, this 30 minute interval training workout will build a powerful, agile and athletic body.
GRIT Strength: An interval training workout that takes you into overdrive to go hard, push harder and get you fitter – super-fast. The short sharp demanding exercises combine weightlifting, running and plyometrics for a full body workout that increases aerobic capacity, strength, muscular endurance, metabolism and power.
Alternating periods of high-intensity exercise with rest/recovery – a great way to burn fat and increase overall fitness in a fun, challenging format using equipment and bodyweight.
A challenging 30 minute military-inspired high intensity interval workout using bodyweight exercises.
Pilates focuses on developing the strength of the core muscles while improving muscle control, flexibility and coordination. This class benefits those who feel they need to work on their posture and alignment. Mats are provided or if you prefer you can bring you own.
Low to medium intensity.
Learn the foundations of strength training and challenge yourself in a 60 minute weight training session utilising barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells and other strength training equipment. Classes take place at the HIIT Studio at Griffith Aquatic Centre.
Medium to high intensity.
An interval training class incorporating running, sprinting and other high intensity exercises on our very own athletics track. * Please note that this class is weather dependant. In the event of wet weather, class will be moved indoors to the HIIT Studio.
Exercise your mind, body & soul. This is the ideal class for participants wanting to relieve built up stress and stretch out those tired muscles. A great way to improve your flexibility whilst enjoying some relaxation. Mats are provided or if you prefer, you can bring your own.
