Student-focused committees are one of the main ways the Guild ensures students are at the centre of its services, priorities and decisions. These committees advocate for the interests, needs and priorities of the student body, and help amplify student voices to the Board and the University.

Guild Representative Committee (GRC)
The GRC advocates and represents on matters affecting all Gold Coast students.
Liam Browne
GRC Chair & President
Liam is a dedicated advocate for students and is committed to strengthening representation and expanding student rights. With a strong policy background (MPH), he effectively navigates complex governance and policy frameworks. His current MIT program enables him to leverage data-driven insights and strategic planning to enhance the student experience.

Deputy Chair
As a PhD candidate and HDR Coordinator, Aasia is experienced working with students and staff, to bridge gaps, solve problems and amplify student voices. She is committed to ensuring postgraduate voices help shape our future.

Bianca Thatcher
GRC Committee Member
Bianca is studying Political Science and International Relations, and has built strong communication and leadership skills through her professional and volunteer experiences. One of her drivers is helping students access opportunities and build practical skills that will help them feel more confident about their careers after graduation.

Emma is studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and a Bachelor of Environmental Science, and has held a number of leadership roles in both community and university committees. She is committed to prioritising engagement and making sure students have an active voice in a supportive, thriving community.

Sukhjeet is studying a Master of Cyber Security and draws on his professional and academic experience to solve complex problems, and collaborate with diverse teams to improve efficiency to the benefit of students. He is committed to ensuring that student feedback leads to tangible, positive outcomes.

Thai is a Business student who has experienced the challenges that international students face establishing community, confidence and direction. Thai is interested in bridging the gap for international students whilst ensuring that all students are part of a community where they can access practical support.

Muneera is a PhD student with a strong history of volunteering with the Student Guild and engaging as an Academic Mentor. Â Muneera is committed to championing postgraduate voices, and ensuring that their needs and perspectives are heard and translated into meaningful action.

Rezvane is a PhD student who has been actively involved in campus life as an executive member of the Middle Eastern Student Club and a member of the Women in Engineering Club. She enjoys connecting with students of different backgrounds and giving back to the community.

Atul has gained a strong understanding of the Guild’s role in supporting students through active engagement with the Griffith Pool Club and Law Student Association, and is committed to advocating for student welfare, providing services, and building community on campus.

SEAC embeds student voice within the Guild’s clubs, societies, and student engagement programming and policies.

Ben is studying Advanced Business (Honours) and has demonstrated governance experience, having served as an executive member of several clubs on campus. He values an innovative, collaborative and pragmatic approach to leadership in the interests of creating a meaningful impact on student life.

Austan is enrolled in a Bachelor of Laws and has been actively involved in campus life through a range of student clubs, groups and committees. Austan enjoys helping others feel supported and believes every student should have a say in shaping their university experience.
